An 18-year-old Billings man has been identified as the man struck and killed while walking along a highway in the Hi-Line early Sunday.
Phillips County Sheriff Jerry Lytle said in a press release that Cash Austin Taylor was pronounced dead after emergency personnel responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on US Highway 2 near Saco.
The incident happened at about 12:30 p.m. and is being investigated by the Montana Highway Patrol, the press release states.
According to an obituary, Taylor was a graduate of Billings Senior High School.
Montana State University officials in Bozeman have confirmed Taylor was also an MSU student.
