Vehicle ruled out as attempted kidnapping investigation in eastern Montana continues

The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office was able to find and rule out a green Scion passenger car as a suspected vehicle in an attempted kidnapping in Jordan.

Authorities are still asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three Hispanic males riding in a green van.

Police say the near-abduction happened when three Hispanic males drove up in a green van and attempted to kidnap a child at a Jordan park.

Police in Rosebud, Bighorn, McCone, and Garfield Counties as well as the Montana Highway Patrol, are all investigating.

If you see this vehicle, you’re asked to write down a license plate and call the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office at 406-557-2540.

(June 7, 2019) GARFIELD COUNTY – Sheriffs from several counties are asking the public for help in locating a vehicle and three men involved in an attempted kidnapping Friday afternoon in Jordan.

Three counties besides Garfield, McCone and Rosebud, each posted notices on Facebook seeking information.

GARFIELD COUNTY RESIDENTS PLEASE BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR A GREEN VAN WITH THREE HISPANIC MALES. IF SEEN PLEASE CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.
