The Montana Department of Justice issued a Missing/Endangered Person Advisory on Thursday afternoon for Philip Arthur Pietz.

The MEPA was issued at the request of the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's Office.

He was last seen December 2nd in the Walmart/Burger King Parking lot in Helena wearing a blue jacket with a fur hood.

The MEPA says that Pietz is a transient and resides in his truck, which was found crashed near a ranch north of Helena, and where another vehicle on the same ranch was stolen.

Due to the circumstances and length of time he has been missing, he is considered endangered.

Pietz is a 47-year old man, stands 5 foot 10 inches tall, and weighs about 120 pounds.

Anyone who has seen Pietz or with information that may help locate him is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 406-447-3233 or 911.
