1 person dead in Blaine County ATV crash

(UPDATE, 11:04 pm) A 30-year-old woman has died in an ATV rollover near Harlem.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, at around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday the driver of an ATV was turning right onto Rodeo Avenue from Coming Day Street at a high rate of speed.

MHP says the ATV hit a patch of ice and the driver overcorrected, rolling the ATV on Rodeo Avenue.

The male driver and female passenger were thrown from the ATV. MHP says the woman hit her head on the pavement.



She was taken to Benefis Health System hospital in Great Falls, where she was pronounced dead.

The name of the woman has not yet been released. We will update you if we get more details.



(1st REPORT, 4:14 pm) The Montana Highway Patrol reports that at least one person has been injured in a crash in Blaine County.

The crash was reported to the MHP at 3:07 p.m. on Wednesday.

It happened near the intersection of State Highway 66 and Rodeo Drive, which is just south of Highway 2 near Harlem, about midway between Chinook and Malta.

The MHP has not yet released any other details; we will update you when we get more information.
