The Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre collaborated with the Zootown Arts Community Center, in part of their Socially Distanced Sessions, for a free ballet concert you can watch on your phone or television.

"It makes sense for us to take some of the ballets we've been working on about the COVID stories and some of the dancers that we work with at home, as well as the students coming up in the school, to utilize this opportunity that the ZACC is offering to our own community," said Charlene Campbell Carey, the Artistic Director of RMBT.

Carey says that COVID-19 has presented the theater with a few challenges.

“We can’t gather together, gather in the groups that we're familiar with to train, very few children are in the school right now; it's primarily the pre-professional dancers," said Carey.

The theater continues to work with ballet companies globally with Ballet Beyond Borders.

“Because our projects have not really stopped we've just tried to evolve and that's on a daily basis as everybody knows because the situation changes constantly," said Carey.

Carey also says that the partnership with the ZACC allows for the theater company to reach more people.

"It's a great opportunity for us to connect with friends and family, obviously, throughout the world during the traditional American Holidays," said Carey.

The Holidays at Home concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
