Investigation continues into Missoula shooting incident

Law enforcement is continuing to investigate a shooting incident that occurred on Monday evening .

Missoula Police Department spokesman Sgt. Travis Welsh says officers were called to the 3800 block of South Reserve Street shortly after 8 p.m. on reports of a 39-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

The man was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. There is no word on his current condition.

Sgt. Welsh says that when police arrived there was a woman in the area. Missoula Police have identified and made contact with all people believed to be directly involved in the incident.

Detectives were called to the scene near the Fresh Market store and are reviewing video surveillance and evidence. Sgt. Welsh told MTN News that the incident scene is believed to be confined to the man's vehicle.
