Military veterans enrolled in the Montana VA Health Care System are eligible for free drive-through COVID-19 testing. The MTVAHCS has been selected to receive test kits to test asymptomatic veterans for COVID-19.

“Montana Veterans who are asymptomatic (not currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms) are invited to come to our MTVAHCS facilities for drive-up COVID-19 testing,” said MTVAHCS Executive Director Judy Hayman in a news release. “This asymptomatic testing will help us understand how COVID-19 presents in Montana because often, only people with symptoms are tested. As always, we are grateful for the leadership Veterans have shown in taking proactive steps to be healthy.”

Veterans can stay in their vehicle to be tested and will be notified within 30 days by the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services if they test positive. The MTVAHCS will contact veterans if they test negative.

The agency conducted a drive-through event in Great Falls at 1417 9th Street South, Suite 200, on Wednesday; another drive-through will be held on Thursday, July 2nd, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Free drive-through testing for everyone is also available in Great Falls from Alluvion Health; the testing location is in the parking lot of the former Westgate Mall. Click here for dates and times.
