A Superior man survived after the vehicle he was driving rolled down a 100 foot hillside near Wallace, Idaho Monday.

Shoshone County Sheriff's office received a 911 call Monday morning in reference to vehicle crash off the roadway on Moon Pass.

The initial information provided to the Sheriff’s Office was the vehicle had rolled down the hillside and was in the bottom of a drainage.

Responding deputies found the crash site to be approximately 2.5 miles south from the top of Moon Pass Saddle.

The driver, identified as Logan Galloway, 39, of Superior, was found sitting on the hillside below the roadway.

It was later learned Galloway was traveling to work early in the morning, and while reaching for his soda, veered off the roadway.

Once Galloway left the roadway, his vehicle rolled approximately 100 yards down the hillside.

Galloway was able to crawl out of the vehicle and back towards the roadway, but due to terrain and his injuries, Galloway could not go any further and had to sit for a lengthy period of time until the first citizen stopped and located him.

Eventually several other citizens stopped to assist Galloway until emergency crews were able to arrive.

Galloway was transported to Shoshone Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the citizens who stopped to provide aid and assist someone in a time of need.
