BILLINGS - Public health orders remain in place in Wyoming until Thursday, which makes any kind of celebration difficult.

But a group in Cody found a way to make one boy's wish come true on Sunday.

Silas is 10, loves Captain America and has Craniopharyngioma, a type of brain tumor that cannot be helped by surgery.

"We're here today to celebrate my son's Make a Wish camper," said Silas's mother, Chelsea Johnson.

Thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, his family received a brand new camper that will help him with his temperature control.

He also wished to see some cars and trucks, but his community did him one better.

Over 500 people showed up for his own parade, with special distancing guidelines to respect his health, as well as no honking or burn-outs.

Though treatments and hospital stays are something he has grown comfortable with, he got to feel like a kid.

Silas thanked every person he saw.

"He dances like no one was watching," said Silas's father, Casey Johnson.

"This was the best day since my brain tumor. You guys made my day," Silas said.

Silas did set one caveat for the celebration; his little brother needed to be included.

The police department was also present to direct traffic, as the turnout stretched all the way to the highway.
