BOZEMAN — Gallatin County officials have announced the following changes to the landfill and waste collection stations:

The Gallatin County Logan Landfill will be open during normal business hours with restricted payment options to minimize public contact and enhance protections for solid waste employees. Effective March 30, 2020 the Logan Landfill will be suspending all cash/check payment transactions at the Logan Landfill Scale until further notice. The Logan Landfill will only accept credit/debit/Visa cash cards and charge account payments for residential and commercial customer disposal at the landfill.

The Bozeman Convenience Site will remain closed. The site closure includes the cancellation of the monthly Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHW) event scheduled for April 11, 2020. All operations at the Bozeman Convenience Site are suspended until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted at the facility.

The Gallatin Solid Waste Management District’s Fix-It Clinic at the Lindley Center scheduled for April 18, 2020 and the Free E-waste collection event scheduled for April 25, 2020 at the Logan Landfill are postponed and will be rescheduled in the future.

This is an evolving and rapidly changing situation due to the unprecedented COVID-19 emergency, as COVID-19 restrictions are rescinded, the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District will resume regular operations as soon as possible at both the Logan Landfill and Bozeman Convenience Site. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please contact the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District at 406-284-4029 for questions and additional information.
