A 27-year-old Lewistown man died in a rollover crash Wednesday morning near Brockway in McCone County.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Kenworth commercial truck eastbound on MT 200.
The vehicle left the right side of the road at mile marker 262, and the driver over-corrected, causing the truck to roll, the patrol said.
The crash caused fatal injuries to the driver, and he was pronounced dead on scene.
The patrol said it’s unclear if a seatbelt was in use.
The driver was the only person in the truck and no other vehicles were involved.
Roads were dry when the crash was reported at 10:54 a.m. Wednesday.
This crash marked the third fatal crash of the new year.
The patrol did confirm alcohol, drugs, and speed were not factors in the crash.
The man’s name has not been released as of Thursday morning.
