BELGRADE — Many outdoor recreation facilities are slowly opening back up in Gallatin County under guidance from the health department.
But the Lewis and Clark Splash Pad in Belgrade says they don’t see themselves being able to safely open back up until Montana enters Phase 3 of its reopening plan.
“The splash park is not like a pool where there’s lifeguards or staff here, so we have trouble managing the risks with unrelated groups. it’s a very popular destination, not just for citizens of Belgrade but the whole county,” explained Steve Klotz, the Public Works Director for the city.
There is currently no timeline for when Phase 3 will begin.
