BOZEMAN — We all know senior citizens are more at risks from complications from the coronavirus. And even though they have been told to self isolate under quarantine orders, HRDC wants to make sure they know that they are not mentally alone.

HRDC is emphasizing their referral-based senior outreach program for adults over the age of 60, who might be at risk.

The program provides seniors with counseling and gets them connected to other resources.

“If you have a need, if you’re fearful, if you’re anxious, overwhelmed. There’s all kinds of uncertainty happening right now. If you’re feeling extremely isolated, which can lead to depression, which can lead to suicide. If you’re feeling any of those, we just want you to call, and you can call HRDC and we can get you started,” said Andi Salsbury, the senior care coordinator with HRDC.

HRDC encourages people to connect with the senior citizen and discuss the program first to gauge interest. For more information, call HRDC at 406) 585-4840
