BOZEMAN — Governor Steve Bullock’s visit to Montana State University’s Romney Hall has, according to MSU leaders, been a long time coming.
The governor is expected to tour the historic building during its construction phases Tuesday at 4 pm.
Romney Hall is in the middle of a massive, $32 million dollar renovation project, upgrading its size, its classroom spaces and overall service to students and faculty across campus.
The governor’s visit comes after legislation helped with the passing of a bill, which helped raised $25 million to get the whole project started.
That’s why he’s here.
The building’s been around since 1922 and has largely stood unusable, and the university is still working to raise the rest of the money to finish it.
