BOZEMAN — The Gallatin City-County Health Department confirmed Thursday that one more Gallatin County resident has passed away from complications due to COVID-19.

The person was a man in his 80s who died in a hospital this week. The Gallatin City-County Health Department today received the official death certificate that attributed his death to COVID-19. This latest death makes for a total of 47 COVID-related deaths in Gallatin County.

Data on statewide deaths reported by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services can be foundhere.

“Deepest condolences to this man’s family and friends,” said Matt Kelley, Gallatin City-County Health Department Health Officer. “We continue to administer our limited supply of COVID-19 vaccines to our most vulnerable citizens, but have a long way to go to be able to provide a vaccine to everyone in Gallatin County who wants one. We ask for your continued patience as we work through the constraint of a small vaccine supply, and to keep following public health guidelines as we move toward the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Out of respect for the man’s family, no further details will be released.
