Flu activity continues in Montana, Gallatin County at more than 650 cases

BOZEMAN — Flu activity remains widespread throughout Montana, with every county reporting at least one case.

As of January 25, 2020, the state saw just over 800 new cases reported, easily the most since the beginning of flu season in October.

In total, Montana reports 3,042 cases of influenza, with just under 150 of those requiring hospitalization.

There has been one flu-related death in Montana this season.

Gallatin County leads the state with 657 total reported cases.

Silver Bow County's new cases for the week ending January 25 totaled 47, while Deer Lodge County reported 19.

In Madison, Jefferson, Broadwater, Park and Powell counties, new cases were all in the single digits in the most recent report.
