The Flathead Avalanche Center has issued a backcountry avalanche warning for several areas in Northwest Montana.
The warning, which covers The Swan Range, Flathead Range, and Glacier Park, remains in effect until 6 p.m. on Friday.
The avalanche danger is rated “high” in portions of the affected area and natural and human triggered avalanches are expected.
The Flathead Avalanche Center is cautioning that dangerous avalanche conditions exist and people are advised to avoid avalanche terrain.
