Casey's Bar in Whitefish is throwing a Roaring Twenties themed party, giving a nod to the past century.
Back in the 1920's, bartender Cassie Migneault noted that prohibition was in full swing.
"You've got people at the door. Passwords, things like that to even get you in," explained Migneault.
Migneault added that speakeasies would try their best to hide the alcohol in their cocktails.
Looking around the bar, she says that Casey's has touches of that time period.
"The black and white photographs, the wood, the brick. Even the red in the background. It's very fitting for that era," said Migneault.
Now, 100 years later, Migneault says Casey's is preparing for New Year's Eve festivities -- this time, without prohibition.
"We pretty much triple stock everything. Champagne is a big one," said Migneault.
While new years is full of celebration, MTN asked Migneault about safety concerns.
Months ago, several patrons ending their night at Casey’s fell ill after consuming alcohol.
Casey’s general manager Jayson Peters says the Montana state crime lab continues to test that evidence.
But on Tuesday night, Migneault is excited to celebrate the new year.
“We’re opening a brand new decade. New beginnings are going to be a huge deal," said Migneault.
