BOZEMAN — UPDATE: 2/16/2021, 4:35 PM -

American Airlines announced they will be offering a non-stop flight this summer from Bozeman to Phoenix, Arizona from June to August.

A nonstop flight can just seem like a matter of convenience, but the service can have great impacts on airports.

Having nonstop flights helps the international airport compete with other airports and encourages tourism.

“A direct flight what it really means is it makes it easier for people to choose to fly here, and for a lot of destinations in a lot of communities that are really large they’re used to nonstop service, so they won’t even choose a place that has connecting flights to get there,” said Brian Sprenger, the airport director.

This summer, the airport will offer 25 different nonstop flights to various locations throughout the country.
