BOZEMAN — We know this year has looked a lot more challenging for a lot of people, so we went on Main Street in downtown Bozeman and asked people: despite a tough year, what are you most thankful for, and here are some of the responses.

“I’m most thankful to be a nurse and working in a community that’s very supportive of me being a nurse and realizing the sacrifices we’ve made. I’m almost very thankful for having my family with me and being able to spend the holidays with these guys and thinking of those who couldn’t be here this year,” said Brandi McWalter.

“Just the health and well-being of all my family and friends really and just time with my family that I’ve had this year. That’s been the most special thing, and just to slow down and appreciate them every single day and just live with a lot of gratitude,” said Leslie Gautreaux.

“It’s a hard one. I’m so thankful that I have a home and a job and I live in an amazing place and that I have the luxury of coming out and having a cup of coffee and not everybody does,” Christine Phillips said while holding back tears.

“I’m thankful to live in a place that I love because it’s been easier to handle a pandemic, getting outside and close to home recreation,” said David Weinstein.

We also asked people what are they looking forward to the most for the new year, and we’ll share those responses on Christmas!
