Bozeman closes library, swim center, park centers, programs and more

BOZEMAN — Starting Tuesday, the Bozeman Library will be closed in efforts to slow Coronavirus.

In a press release, the City of Bozeman said in addition to the library being shuttered, the Parks and Recreation departments will be closing all facilities and canceling all programs until further notice. All non-essential public meetings will also be canceled until further notice.

Library:
  1. The Library building and mobile outreach will be closed until further notice.
  2. All Library programs, events, classes, and group activities have been cancelled as of Saturday March 14, 2020
  3. Book drops for returns will be unavailable, patrons will NOT be able to return items during the Library’s closure.
  4. Due dates for library items will be extended another 8 weeks.
Parks and Recreation:
  1. All recreation facilities will be closed until further notice, this includes the following:

- Bozeman Swim Center- Story Mill Community Center and Parks and Recreation Department main office
- Beall Park Recreation Center
- Lindley Center
- Story Mansion

  1. All Recreation Facility reservations are cancelled until further notice, full refunds for cancelled reservations will be issued. The City will not accept new reservations for recreation and park facilities until May 1, 2020.

Cancellation of Meetings:

All non-essential public meetings of any board, agency, or committee of the City other than the City Commission are cancelled until further notice. Exceptions may be allowed with approval from the City of Bozeman City Manager.
