Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, downtown Bozeman businesses celebrate Small Business Saturday.

It’s a day put on by the Downtown Bozeman Partnership to support local businesses and encourage the community to shop small.

Shops downtown opened their doors on Saturday to help spark the holiday shopping spirit with sales and activities.

Shop owners downtown say supporting local businesses means supporting the people that live in the community.

“We have seven employees. So by people shopping downtown, supporting local, you're giving back to this community,” said Michelle West, owner of the Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company. “You're supporting their kids, you're supporting their livelihood, paying their rent. So it's huge.”

Small Business Saturday is a national event that takes place every year, with the goal of helping to fuel local economies.
