Beartooth Pass was closed at the state line on Friday morning.
The Montana Department of Transportation reported the closure was made at about 8:15 a.m. due to adverse weather.
The highway between Red Lodge and the state line remained open, but travelers must turn around at the state line.
The agency reported it was snowing lightly on the Montana side of the pass Friday morning and road conditions were wet.
