BOZEMAN, Mont.- The Bozeman School Board has named Robert Connors as the new superintendent for the Bozeman School District.

The board voted seven to one Tuesday evening to offer Connors a two-year contract as Bozeman’s next superintendent.

Connors has been the superintendent of Glasgow Public Schools since 2012 and brings superintendent experience to Bozeman.

He has worked in education throughout his career and obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Montana.

Several board members expressed that Connors was their number one choice from the three finalists.

Many Board members also expressed that they believe it was a rushed process, while others argued that there is a lot going on in the district and that the district needs a decision maker.

Board Chair Andy Willett said Connors will be offered the two-year contract immediately and negotiations will be made with hopes that Mr. Connors will begin his position by mid-July or early August.
