BOZEMAN, Mont. – Interim Principal of Bozeman High School Katie Laslovich won the 2019 Assistant Principal of the Year award from the Montana Association of Secondary School Principals.
Laslovich stepped in for Kevin Conwell when he became ill last fall with a polio-like virus.
Conwell was actually the one who nominated Laslovich for the award.
She said she’s humbled to be honored with this award, but that it’s a team effort.
“I think getting an award like that really is a reflection of our school and our community because we do have just such great people. We have a great staff at Bozeman High, we have great students, parents and a great supportive community and so I think that’s what makes us successful,” Laslovich said.
Laslovich will return to her assistant principal role this fall, and Dan Mills from Michigan will step in as the new principal of Bozeman High.
