BOZEMAN, Mont.- Schools in Gallatin County get out this week and free summer lunch begins.

Many kids in the community depend on school lunches for meals during the school year and the Gallatin Valley Foodbank is making sure no kid goes hungry this summer.

Last summer, thousands of meals were served in the Gallatin Valley at various locations in Bozeman, Belgrade and Three Forks.

The food bank is still in need of volunteers for this summer to help with serving and prepping lunches.

“I’m constantly amazed and in awe of all of our volunteers. It shows me all the time how many hands make light work and really it wouldn’t be possible without their support and encouragement,” Childhood Nutrition Director of Gallatin Valley Foodbank, Lyra Leigh-Nedbor said.
