Saturday marks the end of college for thousands of students at Montana State University.
MSU officials say just over 2,000 students will be marching together in cap and gown at Saturday’s commencement ceremonies at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
That being said, university staff are expecting a large turnout of people to celebrate graduation.
Those who are joining their soon-to-be alumnus are asked to try to be seated about 45 minutes to an hour early.
While traffic might get congested, MSU officials say it is a time to wish their students the best and everyone is welcome to attend.
“This is what these students work so hard for over the course of four or more years if they are getting advanced degrees,” says Michael Becker, MSU spokesman. “It’s a magical time in the life of a university when we could say goodbye. We can gather all of the family and friends in town and just have a tremendous time.”
There are two ceremonies: one at 9 am; the next, at 1:30 pm.
