Museum of the Rockies pays homage to its volunteers

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Museum of the Rockies celebrated 170 of its active volunteers on Monday afternoon.

These volunteers have donated almost 30,000 hours of service to the museum.

Volunteers are constantly working behind the scenes to make the visitor experience enjoyable.

“The museum would not be able to operate the way we do without all of these volunteers giving selflessly of their time, their passion, their energy, and their expertise in the fields that they bring to us,” said Director of Marketing Alicia Thompson.

Seven volunteers received the Shelley McKamey Award for Excellence for either 30 years of service or more than 10,000 hours.
