BOZEMAN, Mont. – HAVEN held its third annual Art of Surviving exhibit last Tuesday evening.
It’s a chance for domestic violence survivors to express what they have experienced through art.
HAVEN’s goal is to give survivors a new way of healing.
“The feedback we get from survivors across the board is yes, the general services that HAVEN can provide are absolutely vital, counseling is vital, advocacy is vital. But they are also people and they have other ways of expressing themselves, and sometimes they want to share their experience with the community,” said HAVEN Executive Director Erica Coyle.
This year, there were about 20 artists who participated.
