Bozeman Health lifts visitor restrictions as flu cases decline

Posted

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital announced in a press release that as of Tuesday, visitor restrictions have been lifted at the hospital.

According to the release, Bozeman Health put the restrictions in place to prevent the spread of influenza in the hospital and has seen a steady decrease in the number of influenza cases over the past three weeks.

Although restrictions are lifted, anyone with even mild cold or flu symptoms should not visit the hospital, the press release said, as the flu “is highly contagious and can be a major cause of acute bronchitis and pneumonia.”

Bozeman Health reminds the public that immunization and frequent hand washing are the best defense against the flu.
