BOZEMAN, Mont. – The 4th Annual Color Me Fun Run was off to the races on Saturday to benefit schools in the Gallatin Valley.

Runners big and small gathered at the Gallatin Valley Mall as they made their way through a very colorful course. Many different colors were painted on the racers’ shirts, leaving them full of color at the finish line.

The race was directed for the second year in a row by Cheri Dyk, a Hyalite Elementary Parent. Dyk said $10 from each registration goes towards elementary arts and fitness programs.

“I think you just need to see the programs in the schools and all the field trips that they go on,” said Dyk. “I have two kids in Hyalite, so I witnessed where they get to go because of this and it does, it feels good to raise money for that.”

Over the four years the race has been running, close to $77,000 has been raised for schools.
