BELGRADE, Mont. – Downtown Belgrade is seeing a revitalization with new and long-standing businesses working together to grow the community.

“We all support and promote each other,” said Julee Ramjak with Re-Alignment, a mind and body wellness business hosting various practitioners. “When (clients) come in and learn about everything that we have it’s like that’s so cool that you have so much to offer in such a small little town.”

Re-Alignment contains a float tank which uses a few inches of water and 900 pounds of salt to allow users to float and release tensions from their joints and mind. There’s also Reiki, Japanese energy work, plus physical therapy, massage therapy, and Ayurveda which is diet and lifestyle counselling.

The business is in the old firehouse and sits next door to a decades-old coffee shop which has been under new ownership for the last 8 years.

“In the past 8 years we’ve seen a lot of places kind of pop up and disappear and a lot of empty spaces as well but now they’re filling up,” said Spotted Horse Cafe owner Kyle Quantrille. “Belgrade is kind of making a change for the better I think.”

The Belgrade Community Coalition hopes so too. It has a campaign called Bel-Great, an effort to inspire pride in the community.

“To cultivate a stronger sense of community in Belgrade and we hope by doing that people feel proud to live in Belgrade,” said Tiffani Maierle, Board President of the Belgrade Community Coalition.

An effort that has support from locals, businesses and visitors.
