BELGRADE, Mont. – While students have been on a summer break, Belgrade High School has had ongoing remodeling and expansion construction.
Currently, the school can hold 900 students and once the construction is complete, Belgrade High School will be able to hold 1,300 students. The construction began a year ago and will continue through the school year. Martel, the company working on the high school has ensured students learning hasn’t be interrupted.
Belgrade High School Principal Paul Lamb said he had an important goal with the project.
“Making sure the students aren’t out in portable buildings,” Lamb said. “The one specification I gave was there would be no students out in portable buildings.”
Students and staff are still able to move about the building safely during construction and the project is expected to be complete by the fall of 2019.
