It was quite a celebration Monday evening at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital.
Community members, officials and volunteers with the hospital gathered at what will be the new main lobby of the hospital to celebrate the end to an eight-month-long fundraising campaign.
And there was plenty of reason to celebrate — the fundraising campaign exceeded its goal by 21 percent.
"I'm pleased to announce that we raised over $18 million out of our community to help fund the ICU unit, the new NICU unit and several other initiatives with our campaign, but it culminates into this absolutely beautiful lobby," said Roby Erlenbush, the fundraiser co-chair.
The new developments to the hospital will be a combination of both upgraded services and brand new services that haven't been offered before, such as the neonatal care.
The project is expected to be completed by Fall 2020.
