The Montana Highway Patrol was involved in a high-speed chase east of Great Falls on Sunday afternoon.
The suspect vehicle was a Silver Chevy Impala, and a witness said that the chase began in or near Stanford and the suspect then headed west.
Initial reports indicate the chase reached triple-digit speeds.
Responding agencies included the Montana Highway Patrol, the Great Falls Police Department, and the Cascade County Sheriff's Office, along with deputies from Chouteau County and Judith Basin County.
The driver of the vehicle pulled into the rest stop at Armington Junction a few miles southeast of Belt, where officers blocked the vehicle in.
The driver was then taken into custody; the name of the person has not yet been released, and we do not yet know what triggered the chase.
There are no reports of any injuries at this point.
We will update you when we get more information.
