TWIN BRIDGES — Crews continue to fight the Old Baldy wildfire, burning east of Twin Bridges in the Tobacco Root Mountains.

The lightning-caused fire is currently at 129 acres and is zero percent contained, with 86 people working on the fire.

Hot shot crews continue to construct a contingency line along the western edge of the fire, where many dead trees make it difficult to engage the fire directly.

Yesterday the fire burned in the interior of the existing perimeter with no increase in size, thanks to favorable weather conditions, officials said in an update Tuesday morning.

Today crews will face the warmest day of the week, with low relative humidity and a chance for an isolated thunderstorm into Thursday evening.

An area closure has been issued as all Forest access roads within the area are one way in and out.

A copy of the closure order and map can be found on Inciweb.
