FIRE WEATHER WATCH
A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Tuesday afternoon and evening for the Bitterroot, Deer Lodge National Forests. This watch will likely be upgraded to a red flag warning.
RED FLAG WARNING
A RED FLAG WARNING is in effect for the Gallatin National Forest, Wheatland, Sweetgrass, Stillwater counties, and the Beartooth Ranger District of the Custer National Forest from noon to 9 pm Tuesday.
Impacts: Low humidity, hot temperatures, dry thunderstorms with gusty erratic wind gusts will create erratic fire behavior and possible new fire starts.
Thunderstorms are likely to develop around 3 pm Tuesday and push eastward. Thunderstorms are also possible in the overnight hours Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
