Terry Lee Wells Jr. was arrested in Hill County on Thursday after leading police on a car chase, according to the Havre Herald .
Police tried to pull Wells over because there were two felony warrants for his arrest. Wells refused to stop, leading police on a chase that started in the 1500 block of 11th Street, according to the press release.
Wells sped south on Beaver Creek Highway until he hit a deer; he was then arrested without further incident. His vehicle was significantly damaged, and a patrol vehicle also sustained minor front-end damage. There is no further mention of the deer.
Wells had two passengers with him, a 39-year-old Havre woman and a 22-year-old Box Elder woman. The women were released to Rocky Boy police, according to the HPD; their names have not been released.
Wells, 34 years old, is being held in the Hill County Detention Center, facing six pending charges of criminal endangerment and an additional charge of fleeing or eluding a peace officer.
According to the Montana Department of Corrections, Wells has two felony convictions in Cascade County for criminal endangerment.
