The Ravalli County Sheriff's Office reports one man in custody following a brief pursuit in Florence on Saturday.
Deputies received reports of a threat near Eight Mile Road and attempted a traffic stop.
A male driver failed to stop and led police to Highway 93 near the Ace Hardware store, where he eventually stopped. The suspect had "a couple" firearms according to Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton.
Deputies were able to negotiate with the suspect and he eventually surrendered and the entire incident lasted just over an hour.
Ther Missoula County Sheriff's Office, Florence fire department volunteers, and the Montana Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
Daniel Marc Lieberg, 38, was arrested and taken to the Ravalli County Detention Center for the offenses of Intimidation, Criminal Endangerment, and various traffic offenses, according to Holton.
