Bozeman burglary under investigation

BOZEMAN — The Bozeman Police Department is investigating a reported burglary after a man was seen in the process of stealing items by a witness.

At approximately 1:05 pm Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, officers responded to a reported burglary in progress in the area of East Curtiss Street and McAdow Avenue.

The reporting party reported locating an intruder in their residence who appeared to be in the process of stealing items from the home. The intruder was believed to be armed with a firearm and fled the scene after his discovery.

Officers responded to the scene and arrived within less than a minute. A perimeter was established, and an area search conducted, by Bozeman PD units and Deputies of the Gallatin County Sheriff’s office. The suspect could not be located. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20-30 years of age, with acne, wearing a red t-shirt, and a green “beanie” type hat.

The Bozeman Police Department Detective Division is in the early stages of the investigation.

The public is reminded to be vigilant and lock their doors and windows on both their homes and vehicles and report any suspicious activity.
