A Great Falls man has been charged with trying to smuggle drugs into the Cascade County Detention Center.
Richard James Houle was charged with one count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
On June 15, Houle was released from the detention center but was arrested again an hour and a half later.
According to court documents, during a body search, Houle handed detention officers a plastic bag containing a white substance that he admitted had been in a body cavity of his.
The white substance in the bag tested positive for meth.
Prosecutors requested Houle be held on a $10,000 bond.
