Bozeman Police investigating report of sexual assault early Saturday

The Bozeman Police Department is asking the public’s help in its investigation of a sexual assault reported in Bozeman early Saturday morning.

According to a department press release, a woman reported that a male suspect physically restrained her as she was walking on North Ferguson Avenue, near the intersection of West Babcock Street, around 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the man was last seen running in an unknown direction on West Babcock Street. Officers were unable to locate him despite an immediate response and comprehensive search of the area.

The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet, 8 inches with short, brown hair, a thin face and build, wearing an oversized, dark-colored jacket. Police say the suspect was also wearing athletic shoes and light-colored pants.
