BOZEMAN, Mont. – This past holiday weekend was a busy one for Montana Highway Patrol.
Within District 7, which includes Bozeman and surrounding cities, there were 196 traffic stops.
MHP said there were no serious injury crashes over the weekend and not as many alcohol violations.
“The biggest thing for us, for our district, is zero fatalities. That’s usually a good sign when you can get through a large holiday weekend without anybody dying,” MHP Sergeant Patrick McLaughlin said.
McLaughlin added that MHP did see plenty of distracted driving this weekend and wants to remind everyone to continue to pay attention to the road even though the weather and road conditions are getting better.
