Man arrested after attempting Missoula robbery with bear spray

MISSOULA, Mont. – A man who was confronted after a shoplifting incident at Bob Ward’s in Missoula is accused of attacking employees with bear spray.

Jefferey Catterlin, 33, was arrested on Thursday for robbery after shoplifting and attacking Bob Wards employees.

Store staff called police to the scene at around 5 p.m. Thursday and he was subsequently arrested and booked in Missoula County jail.

Catterlin has been charged with robbery and was held on a $5,000 bond.
