Plains PD seeking fugitive considered “armed and dangerous”

Law enforcement in Sanders County is on the lookout for a fugitive who should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Plains Police Department is attempting to locate 25-year-old Mitchell Bear Raymond who fled following a pursuit on Nov. 14.

Plans police say a high-speed pursuit ensued after an attempted traffic stop. The pursuit reached speeds of up to 90 mph on Upper Lynch Creek Road and ended off of Little Thompson River Road.

The passenger and driver then fled on foot. The passenger was captured after entering and remaining in an occupied structure. However, the drive – identified as Raymond – was not found.

Police say he is wanted for multiple outstanding warrants as well as for questioning in recent area thefts. Mitchell is to be considered armed and dangerous and in the Plains area.
