The Sweet Grass County Sheriff's Office has identified Richard Allen Bowers as the man who was fatally shot in Big Timber on Tuesday.
Bowers, 44 years old, was reportedly shot just before 5:30 p.m. at a Big Timber apartment building on West 8th Avenue.
Kevin Walla, 42, has been charged with deliberate homicide as a result of the shooting, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Walla is being held without bond, and there are no other suspects.
Authorities have not yet released information about the nature of the relationship between the two, nor any details about the crime scene.

(DECEMBER 31, 2019) The Sweet Grass County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at a Big Timber apartment building on Tuesday.
According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, the death was a result of a gunshot wound. It happened just before 5:30 p.m. at an apartment building on West 8th Avenue.
One suspect is in custody, and law enforcement officers will remain in the area for the duration of the primary investigation. The Sheriff's Office said there is no public safety threat.
