The Flathead County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday that two people have been arrested in connection with a drug-trafficking operation.

In a news release, the Sheriff's Office said that the Northwest Montana Drug Task Force has been investigating for a month the drug-trafficking organization based in California and operating in the Flathead Valley.

On Wednesday, December 25, agents with the task force learned that members of the organization were traveling to Kalispell.

On Thursday, the agents and Sheriff's deputies apprehended Adan Bedal-Baraja and Santiago Marron at a motel in Flathead County.

Search warrants were executed and yielded about five pounds of meth, a pound of marijuana, and a firearm.

Bedal-Baraja and Marron are being held without bond at the Flathead County Detention Center.
