A popular restaurant in Missoula is temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
Friday Paradise Falls posted on their Facebook page that an employee tested positive for the coronavirus and out of an abundance of caution they are temporarily closing while they work with Missoula city-county health department.
Paradise Falls said the employee called prior to a shift, and did not come into work but rather got tested. This proactive measure is how the employee was diagnosed, according to the Facebook post.
The only dates and times that this employee worked before having symptoms are:
- Saturday, June 20, from 4 pm to 9:30 pm
- Sunday, June 21 from 8 am to 10 am
- Monday, June 22, from 4 pm to 8 pm
In compliance with the requirements for daily symptom checks, the employee did not report to work after feeling ill and neither the employee or the co-workers who are quarantined will be at work, before completing their quarantine periods at home.
Based on the nature of the employee’s work and an honest report about inconsistent use of cloth face coverings, it is not possible to ascertain who among any customers may have had actual exposure to the disease.
Anyone who visited Paradise Falls during the above times should be vigilant for symptoms of COVID-19, and apply proper social distancing or quarantine measures.
The Missoula health department is working to identify customers as high risk.
Paradise Falls says they will work with the health department on a reopening plan.
When they reopen, all employees will return to wearing masks and continue to follow all proactive screening measures.
