School officials in the town of Jordan announced on Thursday that they will transition to remote learning beginning on Monday, November 16; in-class learning is tentatively scheduled to resume on Monday, November 30.

Jordan Public Schools posted on Facebook:

It's with great regret that I inform you that we have reached the point that, with the number of student and staff cases and contact traces we have, we can't reasonably continue on site services. We simply would not have enough subs and would be effectively doing offsite anyway. The school will be going off site starting Monday 11/16 and will return to on site November 30th. JH basketball games are cancelled.

For more information, call the school district at 406-557-2259. The Montana COVID-19 website reports that as of November 12, there are 14 active cases in Garfield County; there has been a total of 41 cases, with 27 now listed as recovered.

Earlier this week, the Great Falls Public Schools District also announced that it will conduct remote learning for the same two week period due to a spike in COVID cases in the community; click here for details.
