BOZEMAN — The Gallatin City-County Health Department (GCCHD) reported an increase of 50 new COVID-19 cases detected since the county's last update on Friday.
GCCHD said in a press release that there are currently 122 active cases.
Twenty-three cases were confirmed on Saturday, 11 on Sunday, and 16 on Monday. There are currently five people hospitalized in the county due to COVID-19.
The press release said the new cases are located in Gallatin Valley, Big Sky, and West Yellowstone, and they are "related to contacts with known cases, community spread and travel."
No further information, including gender and age, was included in the press release.
According to GCCHD, 332 people have recovered out of 455 cumulative cases. One person has died in Gallatin County due to COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Board of Health will hold a meeting at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning to consider two emergency measures; the first would make face coverings mandatory within most indoor public settings in Gallatin County.
The second emergency measure would extend the rule already in place requiring people who have tested positive for COVID-19 to remain in isolation until they are no longer contagious.
